I really liked this case until I noticed after a month or so that the rivets on the inside of the case were leaving marks on the side of my SX-70. If you look inside the case you can see they have added some extra material to cover the rivets. I think a redesign of the case is necessary. If your SX-70 is beat up already then not to worry. That been said the rest is high quality leather and the stitching is holding up well.

first, i love impossible. every review i will write will start with that. from the founders to the factory and shop workers to the entire impossible crew, i love you. but, it's a very poor case made from very cheap leather (and honestly, i do know what i'm talking about). and worse, it ruined what was once an sx-70 in outstanding condition. well, maybe ruined is an exaggeration, it's only cosmetic. but it was perfectly restored, with new, very high-quality leather on the camera that was provided by a trusted source and installed properly with the correct adhesive. within about four months, the case, which in itself is made of very cheap, very dry material, had sucked the moisture out of the new leather on the camera, and that leather is now desert-dry and cracking. and i am certain the case was the cause. also, it scratches too easily and doesn't age well (with good leather, properly tanned and finished, scratches can either be more or less rubbed away, or over time at the very least as more scratches appear the leather begins to age nicely, and to soften). not this case. it's hard as a rock, dry, scratched, and not aging well. so, that's it. i love impossible. but this case is not good enough, and does not reflect the ingenuity and quality of other impossible project products.

this wont work for the sonar model, right?
