PX 680 Color Shade Pioneer

The newest generation of PX 680 Color Shade material. Faster development time, improved color and contrast, exclusively available to Impossible Pioneers.

PX 680 Color Shade FF images are sensitive to light during their first seconds outside of the camera. Shield the images from light immediately after their ejection from the camera and during the first four minutes of development to get stunningly colorful images. PX film website / Film Manual

One pack of PX 680 Color Shade First Flush Edition delivers 8 uniquely colorful images and works in all Polaroid 600 cameras, as well as all SX 70 cameras equipped with an ND filter.

  • Shield the Picture from light
    • As the camera ejects the picture, do IMMEDIATELY shield it from light (e.g. with your hand, a darkslide, shoot into a box, etc...) - the first half second is crucial! See also this tutorial video box type cameras / tutorial video folding cameras

  • Let the image then develop upside down/shielded from light for up to 4 minutes. Total development time of the image will be around 30 - 40 minutes.

    • PX 680 Color Shade is balanced for daylight and flash exposure. Each single pack contains 8 exposures.

    I love how the film renders the skin tones. This is by far the best film to have come out of the IP factory to date. Wish I have bought more :P

    Well, I've shot my first two packs and I can say the film seems to be fond of close-ups. The close-ups look quite sexy! The film is not too fond of landscapes.... Uploads are coming soon...

    Having used a ton of the PX680 First Flush I was excited to try out this new film. The colors are really rich and I've only just taken two shots but it's a marked improvement over the previous edition - beautiful!
