by Christoph Baldinger on PX 70 Color Shade COOL
LOOKS GOOD

CHLOE AFTEL
LIVE FROM COACHELLA FESTIVAL
Recently, our good friend Chloe Aftel attended Coachella to shoot for Spin Magazine. While there, she also captured some beautiful, dreamy shots using Impossible PZ 680 film. Chloe says:
“Using the new Impossible films at Coachella was a real pleasure. From the overcast days to the bright sunlight, I got nothing but extraordinary colors. The film really creates its own atmosphere that only enhances the lighting conditions of the day.”
CHRISTOPH BALDINGER
FOR ECHOPHONIC
“I chose Impossible film for this shoot because I wanted to give the portraits that distinctive character and aesthetics which, in my opinion, only instant film can do. For me, shooting instant is similar to my work in graphic design. Ideas in my head take shape on a piece of paper or on screen and eventually become visible. Often I end up being surprised by the final result. Just like watching the film developing in my hands. It’s the unpredictable details, something you cannot foresee, that make every single picture unique and really special.”
DAVID BARTHOLOW, CHRIS CANTALINI
GORILLA VS BEAR
David Bartholow and Chris Cantalini of music blog "Gorilla vs Bear" have been friends and supporters of Impossible since day one. Along with photographer Faith Silva they've captured candid backstage images and performances of an extraordinary range of musicians on every Impossible film produced thus far!
To quote David:
“as far as I'm concerned, there's only one truly great medium for shooting musicians and there's certainly only one Impossible Project.”
ADAM GOLDBERG
A MUSIC VIDEO FOR AGNES
Video still from Adam Goldberg's "Brother Sparrow"
“The essence of my idea for Agnes music video to "Brother Sparrow" was to shoot the video entirely with instant films and a 16mm epilogue. It would be rather simple — an impressionistic piece featuring Agnes playing her protagonist wistfully biding her time by windows in her apartment. Lots would be shot on Impossible films. Eventually I would use them primarily for very close shots — eyes, hands, close face shots, as well as POVs I was stealing on the street.”

SOL EXPOSURE
ART + MUSIC
on PX 600 film
Photographer and Artist, Sol Exposure was an early Impossible Pioneer and says:
“Impossible film is used on all of my shoots. I use the quirks I've come to love to achieve certain looks. Definitely a wonderful, unique tool to have in the toolbox.”
