THE IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT
AN
IMPOSSIBLY
WONDERFUL
WEDDING!
on PX 100 Silver Shade COOL film
Meet Patrick Tobin, he works in the Impossible NYC office in the online and marketing department. Patrick got married recently and made Impossible part of his big day.
HERE'S HIS STORY...
“On June 23rd, I was married to my best friend Amy in Rhode Island. Being an employee of Impossible, there was never any question of whether Impossible film would be a part of our day.

I brought along my SX-70 Sonar and a stash of PX 70 and PX 100 COOL films, as well as three One Step Close-Up cameras and a bunch of PX 600 COOL film. With the exception of a very brief shower and a few minor thunderclaps, we had a beautiful day. I was able to take some PX 70 COOL and PX 600 COOL images of my groomsmen getting ready beforehand at the hotel.”

“Because all of my groomsmen looked so sharp, I wanted to take some sharp portraits of them, so I used my SX-70 Sonar with PX 70 Color Shade and PX 100 Silver Shade. With the natural light coming through the window, these films were perfect for capturing the tones of our attire. I had also had special ties made for my groomsmen and wanted to capture some of the muted green color of the stripes.

Following our ceremony, I took a second to snap a portrait of my new wife using PX 100 COOL film!”

“And good friend and wedding photographer, George Weiss III snapped this shot of our first dance on PX 70 film.”

“At the reception, friends and family passed around the One Step Close-Ups and snapped away throughout the night. PX 600 Silver Shade COOL film was the perfect fit for the reception because that film performs so well with flash and also because the newest generation of Silver Shade films don’t need to be shielded from light when shooting under artificial illumination in the evening.”

“People seemed to have forgotten the enjoyment of taking an instant photo and being able to see it moments later. The cameras and Impossible film were a huge hit!

Our wedding was fantastic (the best I’ve ever been to, ha) and we wish the celebration could have continued for days. I’m extremely happy to have so many great Impossible images from the weekend I look forward to showing them to our kids someday!”
