Frog Tongue for Spectra Cameras

The Impossible Frog Tongue for Image/ Spectra cameras is a newly designed device that automatically shields Impossible instant pictures from light as they eject from the camera. This nifty device greatly improves the results you can achieve with the current Impossible instant films.

The Frog Tongue is also available in a smaller version for Polaroid 600 and box type SX-70 cameras.

    Questa Impossible Frog Tongue funziona con tutte le Polaroid Image/ Spectra
Carefully access the original frog tongue of your camera by removing the small plastic strip on top of the picture ejection slot (use a sharp object like a small screwdriver or the like). You will then be able to exchange the original frog tongue with the new longer Impossible frog tongue and to snap the plastic strip back into position.

I absolutely love the frog tongue it makes developing the picture easier but I'm still new to this so I was wondering if you have to replace it after a certain time? and should you keep it under for 60 sec or take it out before?

you will not need to replace the Impossible frogtongue. once you have exchanged the original, short frogtongue of your camera with the new Impossible frogtongue your are fine and will never need to exchange it again. leave the photo under the frogtongue for the first 5 seconds after it ejects from the camera. then remove the photo from the camera and let it develop face down outside of direct sunlight.

not so gentle?

When you are not so gentle, or your are not sure, start at the side with the gear wheel of the roller. When the little pin at this side is released, slide the plastic strip sideways. The other 2 pins will let go easely. This way you only have to break 1 of the 3 pins when you are not so gentle.

Wow! This accessiory is perfect for your image/spectra camera. It really works great! Works really well with the PZ-680 color film. When it is ejected, just slode it in your jeans-pocket. Best, Joep Gottemaker.

How not to use glue when installing the frog tongue

When changing the frog tongue, try to remove the plastic element of the camera with caution, very slowly and using 2 or 3 different pressure points at the same time (for instance : one on the left and one on the top of the plastic element). By doing so, you'll reduce the chances of breaking the small parts of the plastic element and therefore you won't have to use glue when replacing the original with the Impossible Frog Tongue. So far I've installed 4 frog tongues for spectra cameras (1 Onyx, 1 Image Elite, 1 Spectra AF, 1 Image Pro) and it worked perfectly good ! Cheers to Harold and the IMP Team :)

Is there any Polaroid device on which the frogtongue can't be put? (it might be useful for many people I think) Personnaly, I have a Image Systeme & a Image Elite. Thanks! And any example "With/Without the Frogtongue" ? :)
