HOT TIPS
FOR COLD DAYS!
by Meghan Davidson on PX 70 Color Protection
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
but your photos can still be delightful... just find a warm place to stow and your photos you'll be proud to show!
It's pretty darn cold right now in most of the Northern Hemisphere but don't let that stop you and your camera from going outside! As long as you keep your photos warm and don't let your camera get too cold, your photos can survive the elements.

BODY HEAT IS BEST!
The simplest way to keep your photos warm on cold days is to use your body heat. When the photos come out of the camera immediately stick them as close to your skin as
you're comfortable with. It may feel chilly for a second but your photos will develop perfectly AND they'll also develop faster!
We field tested some PX 680 Color Protection film on chilly NYC morning and let one of the photos (L) develop outside in the cold and the other develop tucked under a shirt (R.) The differences are astounding!

ICY INSTRUCTIONS
by Drew Hoffman on PZ 600
Our own Dr. Love has the prescription to keep your film warm, happy, and free of the winter doldrums. Check out his BLOG POST.
Dr. Love adds, "Be mindful of how long your camera stays out in the cold. The motor can stall if your camera gets too cold." (If this happens to you, visit our TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE) "The film in your camera can get too cold to process properly so it’s best to tuck your camera inside your jacket between shots or stick a handwarmer in your camera bag to keep things cozy."
Debra Cowie recently posted on the Mortal Muses website about shooting Impossible film in cold weather. Read her HELPFUL TIPS.

Another helpful tool when shooting outside in cold (or hot) temperatures is the Impossible Cold Clip!
Simply put your photo into the Cold Clip, on which you’ll find 3 icons which sense the ambient temperature. If it's too cold (snowman icon), simply put it close to your body or tucked under your arm or inside your coat. If it's too warm (sun icon), cool it by placing it against something cold. When the middle icon - the heart - is lit, your Impossible photo will develop perfectly.
Arthur Smith recently took the Cold Clip out for a spin and posted his results on his BLOG.
