Meet & Greet:

André Bosman & Martin Steinmeijer

The truth is: without these two men, the Impossible would never be possible. André Bosman, one of the founders of the Impossible Project, was a Polaroid production manager for many years and is now the head of development and production at the Impossible factory in Enschede (NL). Martin Steinmeijer is an absolutely brilliant chemist and plays a major role in development of Impossible instant film.

"Creative Techniques in Impossible Instant Films"

Ever since Beppe discovered the Bencini camera as a little boy, he was fallen for photography. His photographic artworks have been exhibited, published and praised worldwide, he is famous for his workshops about creative techniques and as a Polaroid employee he was busy organizing exhibitions and intensified his ambitions to promote and research photography. At Photokina, Beppe will demonstrate various creative techniques possible on the new Impossible instant films.

Florian Kaps & Marwan Saba

Meet the founders of The Impossible Project! Florian Kaps has been attracted to the exercise of going against the flow since his childhood and founded his first company strictly dedicated to analog instant photography in 2005. In 2008 he launched the Impossible Project to save analog instant photography from extinction. Co-founder Marwan Saba, who has grown more than a dozen start-up ventures more or less successfully since 1992 manages the financial side of the Impossible. Both will be there to happily answer your questions and pose for pictures.

Lia Sáile:

"An Analog Instant Artist"

In 2005 Lia Sáile bought her first Polaroid camera and has since then passionately worked with analog instant photography. Beyond concentrating her artistic work almost exclusively on this medium, she has also written a thesis about its social, cultural and artistic context. Collaborating closely with Impossible, Lia is testing every new film, and her work is also featured in the Impossible Collection. At Photokina, Lia Sáile will be available to share her experience with Impossible films and the medium in general.

Henny Waanders

The Impossible Camera Project

Henny Waanders is a true expert when it comes to cameras. He worked for Polaroid for almost 40 years and was leading international camera repair services for 20 years. His experience is crucial for the Impossible Camera project, wherein he is assisting the Impossible Camera team in creating the new camera specifications and realizing the new camera design. Henny Waanders will be available to discuss with customers any possible camera system designs, such as special portrait camera options or multi-camera arrays for synchronous multi-exposure.

Spürsinn (GER)

"lift it! Emulsion lifts with Impossible instant films"

The people at Spürsinn are as passionate and and crazy about instant photography as we are. Their expertise for the fabled emulsion lift technique and the release of Impossible's new instant films inspired them to create and manufacture very special, high quality tools to enable endless creative possibilities. They will premier and present the "lift it" brush set and more at the Impossible Photokina booth.
