Rare Medium is the ultimate destination for instant film lovers in the Pacific Northwest. Located in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, the shop features the entire spectrum of Polaroid models from folding Land Cameras to SX-70s to Colorpacks and 600s. A full line of film and camera accessories are also available in-house. Our goal is to recapture the magic, love and outright fun of instant photography and bring it back to the world.

Already a Polaroid owner? We specialize in the highest-quality restorations and upgrades for your camera. Our reputation was built on our rechargeable folding Land Cameras (through landcameras.com) our knowledgeable staff is available to answer questions and personally work on your camera.

Whether this is your first instant camera, or you are a seasoned instant photography junkie, you’ll find the unique, pristine, and also the common at Rare Medium. More than just a shop, Rare Medium is also a fine art gallery, featuring hand-selected works from around the Seattle area and beyond. A central hub for Polaroid enthusiasts, we offer community-based events such as classes, meet-ups and group photo walks.
